Why do we need to drink to have sex?
One of our sex hormones is called dopamine. It triggers our reward system and our sense of satisfaction. Alcohol creates activity in this hormone and is one of the most common artificial forms to get it. This is why it's difficult just to have a drink, our brain keeps asking for more to feel satisfied.
Since this hormone is releasing more of what we really need, we feel happy, outgoing, less shy and our desire gets stronger because we want our reward. When we have a couple of drinks, two things happen, either we do everything possible to have our reward which in this case is sex or we go home unsatisfied and feeling a downer.
If we get lucky and have sex, it feels awesome at the moment, we got our reward, our brain really needed but afterwards you feel a certain emptiness and dissatisfaction. If we left the bar on our own, we might feel an emptiness, rejection, anxiety, frustration or sadness.,
All this emotion happens because our dopamine levels drop and our urge to enhance them gets stronger. When we drink our dopamine rises, but not to the level of completion, that is why we need more drinks or sex to have the full dose our brain needs.
People drink to have an excuse to be more open and to share their desires, but honestly when someone sober approaches you and shares from a real placer it's so much sexier.
It is not necessary to drink to activate our dopamine, sex makes our brain and bodies go on fire. Sober sex is the way to go.
