Yoga and healthy food— A lifestyle

Discovering that a healthy lifestyle is created by the food we eat and how it affects our mind, emotions and body has been truly amazing. My studies at the Institute of Integral Nutrition in New York taught me, and more importantly, I learned that holistic nutrition is essential for caring for food - not just the body - but also our mind and spirit.

The practice of yoga has had an importance of gigantic magnitude in my path; And just as holistic nutrition is basic to my daily practice. Both disciplines have given me the possibility to be more flexible, to flow with life, to become more tolerant, to know my body, my mind and my spirit, and now give me the possibility of sharing this lifestyle with you.

My inner journey gave me the perfect opportunity to know who I am and be aligned with my essence; Then it was possible to realize that all the answers you are looking for are within you. In those moments you connect with your self and you feel how everything begins to flow. And yoga is that: a union between movement and breathing, union of body, mind and spirit.

When you are really present in your body and achieve a deep release and rest at the mental level you achieve one of the most important qualities: Living in the now and enjoying the gifts that  life brings us, even in those moments when we think that everything is out of control. These are opportunities for change, for learning. Remember that we all have our own learning pace and timing to integrate our lessons. We have nothing to achieve but to be. Balance and harmony are the way and not the final goal. Get up! Do everything that makes you happy. The best moments of our life occur when we share; Giving love, discovering, exploring, connecting and learning.

 

When you stop doing that, and everything in your life becomes a responsibility and a duty; is not as fun.
