1: Give color to your food. There is no single food that provides the 40 essential nutrients for the proper functioning of our body. Eat more green, enough yellow combined with some orange and red food.
2- Meet the daily needs of vitamins, minerals and fiber. This will keep you young and radiant.
3- Take into account your age, sex, height and physical complexion. Listen to the body signals, it will let you know the ideal weight.
4: Try to serve your food in a small plate, this way your brain will think that you have consumed enough when in fact you will be consuming MODERATE SERVINGS. Eating less than what you usually eat will make it easier to maintain your ideal weight.
5: Create a schedule for your meals. Try to eat at the same time every day. That way you will create a habit.
6: Remember variety is what makes a good balance in your diet. Reduce the foods that aren’t that healthy and incorporate more veggies and juices.
7: At all times look for the balance in the food intake. Sometimes we think that if we eat a dessert we already lose all the effort and go back to our old habits. Don’t worry eat your cake and then go back to your new diet.
8: Be mindful of your level of satisfaction. Take a few breaths half way of your lunch and notice if you are full, satisfied or need a bit more. Honor that feeling.
9: Do not push yourself, remember how long you've been feeding yourself the way you do today. It is not appropriate for you to think that a radical change will do "magic." The changes must do them GRADUALLY.
10: Exercise ! it brings great benefits to your health. It maintains your weight and keeps you flexible and strong.
